The holiday season can be a joyful yet challenging time, especially for families of children with disabilities who often face extra financial and social pressures. On Saturday, December 7th, The Arc of Chester County will host its Annual Holiday Fun Fest —a special event that embraces inclusivity, bringing families together for a morning filled with food, fun, crafts, a visit from Santa & Mrs. Claus and Freeze Dancing with Frosty, plus lots of holiday magic! Every detail is designed with care to ensure children of all abilities feel welcome, supported, and part of a joyful community.
But The Arc’s commitment goes beyond just one day of inclusive fun and festivities. Through its annual Holiday Giving Program, individuals and families currently being served by The Arc who are facing financial hardship are provided with gift cards for food and necessities in an effort to help ease their holiday burdens, thanks to the generosity of The Arc’s board, staff, partners and friends. This year, every donation is being stretched further to bring holiday cheer to more individuals and families.
“For many, the holidays are difficult especially for our adult participants and self-advocates who have no family. Our goal is to provide financial support, joy, dignity, and a sense of belonging,” says Jeanne Meikrantz, CEO, The Arc of Chester County.
