The Arc of Chester County’s Advocates work on issues relevant to people with disabilities in Chester County and the surrounding communities with the goal of achieving an everyday life for individuals with disabilities and their families. They do this through governmental affairs meetings, one-on-one and small group meetings with legislative leaders, and attendance at the disability rallies in Harrisburg annually, and advocacy campaigns. The Arc strives to be a valuable liaison between local legislators and the public, sharing important information on issues that affect our community with disabilities.
The Arc of Chester County works with several agency partners who support us in our advocacy efforts and to improve the lives of those individuals with disabilities and their families. They include: PAR, EIPA, MAX Association, The Arc of Pennsylvania, and The Arc of the United States.
Throughout the year, we will ask YOU and our Arc Family to TAKE ACTION NOW! by writing to local legislators and supporting important and critical issues facing the disability community. To learn about the latest issue and TAKE ACTION NOW! click here. (link to Constant Contact)
