She was appointed to The Arc of Chester County Board in June of 2019, to fill an unexpired term and fully embraced The Arc and its mission. Her commitment to community extends to the Home of The Sparrow where she serves as a board member and Saint Joseph’s University where she serves on the parent’s council.

Lisa and her family are deeply committed to the special needs community. Her oldest son, Teddy, has Autism, so she is very familiar with all the funding and systems challenges that drive the advocacy efforts at The Arc of Chester County. As a mother and a passionate community volunteer, Lisa has a significant amount of experience working with and supporting individuals with disabilities.  As a dedicated volunteer and community leader, Lisa has been a fierce advocate for equity and inclusion and a true philanthropic leader. She also serves on the Citadel CARES Committee and heads the housing pillar for the giving program at Citadel.

Lisa has over 35 years of banking experience in all lending areas, which began as a teller at age 16. Lisa’s love of finance and numbers motivated her to earn her BS in Finance from Millersville University and her MBA in Finance from St. Joseph’s University. The Arc of Chester County has benefitted significantly from her strong accounting and financial background as an active member on the Finance & Investment Committee for many years. Lisa has logged many hours as a hard-working volunteer helping to host several annual Arc fundraising and friend raising events for the past 6 years.

“Lisa is one of those standout volunteers that we at The Arc of Chester County feel so incredibly grateful to have. Her contributions both in and out of the boardroom are immeasurable. Having just launched our new 5-year strategic plan, I look forward to Lisa’s love of and passion for the important work we do every day for individuals with disabilities and their families,” stated Jeanne Meikrantz, Arc CEO.

Lisa and her husband, Ted, live in Chadds Ford and with their four children nearly grown, they are almost empty nesters. She is very excited about her new role as President of The Arc of Chester County Board of Director and is looking forward to giving even more time to her nonprofit service.

“Navigating the human services system as a parent of a child with disabilities can be overwhelming, challenging and exhausting.
